Guest pkitch Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 I saw this issue wfirst in my Mpx 200 and thought maybe it was device specific as had lots of gremlins with it. Now switched to imate sp3 (love it) but am seeing this again: I have two pop3 email accounts set up, all OK. However; some of the messages 'swap' with the header of another (usually previous) email. So I get message; 'Meeting today at 2.00pm' and when I download it and open it, I get the body of a different email. As I also receive the email on my desktop or laptop in Outlook, I see the uncorrupt message, so know it is happening on the phone or possibly through the (Tmobile US) GPRS this is not a spam issue, but a corruption issue. Sometimes the message will download again and be corrected, but it's driving me nuts... Anyone seen this and manage to resolve?
Guest jfran Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 I have noticed it sometimes when I have deleted messages whilst performing the send receive process, best to allow a full send recieve cycle before deleting or reading messagges to avoid the problem rgds jim
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 jfran's right, it's a known issue (well, known to most of us users, but maybe not by MS!) Do another send & receive before downloading the full email (assuming you're downloading headers) or just download the whole email all the time - that's what I do - if your spam trap is working well.
Guest Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 I've been noticing the same on an XDAII, didn't know about the _add extra send receive cycle_ trick, but since it happens rarely, it would be a bit annoying to have to do that everytime! Ah well, just spose I'd better get used to it!

Calling card, contact send etc etc. Don't think I'll set to download entire as there's always some knuckle head sending mega mb stuff!
Guest simon211175 Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 this problem sounds like the one I keep getting and it's a pain. Not only swapping emails around either - I get an SMS from someone with their message at the top but with the text from an email directly below it - from what I can see the emails are all coming from my outlook folder which I synched by mistake but then deleted all the mail - so if the emails don't exist in my outlook folders anymore - where are they coming from when they get inserted into texts? Also, would the recipients of such texts/emails also get rogue email/texts at the end of stuff I send to them?
