Guest scitmon Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 I am currently on a contract with the Orange SPV e200 and getting pissed off with the crap battery life and my damaged jostick button. So i'm thinkin i need the C500 with has come highly recommended. But upgrading in the middle of the contract is expensive. I'm thinking about buying the C500 on pay as you go for £140 (as i dont really use my contract mins anyway) and run the contract out on this. What i need to know is: 1) Is it possible to use my current Orange contract SIM card in a new Pay as you go C500 bought from Orange?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 Yes as it is an Orange SIM. You will not be able to use another networks SIM unless you SIM unlock from www.imei-check.com

Guest martin Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 The only problem you could have is if you were to somehow lose, or have stolen, your C500 and contract SIM together. If you then phoned CS they could bar the contract SIM and it's related phone in their records i.e the E200 (not the C500). I'm not sure how you get round this but it may be worth asking CS to ammend their records when registering the PAYG phone. It's just something worth noting when swapping SIM's between phones even though everyone does it, including me :)
