Recommendations for a USB BlueTooth dongle

I want to use my new C500 to remotely control Winamp and WMPlayer on my PC from various places in the house. I've downloaded the software for the phone/pc from http://www.labtech.epitech.net/remotecontrol/ but it states it needs a dongle that is natively supported under XP SP2.

Can anyone recommend such a device from a UK supplier?

They all are - just find a nice cheap one and make sure you DON'T install any drivers that come with it.

I bought a TDK one a while ago and hve found it perfect. I'm really into playing with coms, etc and with TDK you get a ton of software and it works really well.

You can get it from here...

£56 for a BT dongle! I only paid about £20 for mine and that was a couple (maybe 3) years ago - they've come down in price since then as well.

Depend what type of range you're looking for. Mine has good range but is hard to set up in sp2. I think il be blowing some money on a nice belkin one soon :)

Ebuyer sells class I (100m) bt dongles for £15. They've only got 2,400 in stock though, so you better hurry :)

Just ordered the eBuyer 100m one - seems to have good reviews and for £15 it's a pretty safe bet.

Is it possible to use the bluetooth connection to view the internet/use MSN on the phone using the passthrough connection?

How are you getting on with your ebuyer dongle? is it any good?

Anyone else here got one? I'm eyeing one up myself as my jam is arriving on wednesday! YAY!

Not putting a downer on things, but smartphones that support bluetooth are class 2 bluetooth devices. Which means they have a maximum range of 10m.

Of course you can use a class 1 dongle for other things than Smartphones, I'd just thought I would point it out!
