Hi :) ,

Was just wondering if any of you modaco plusers think it is any good. Not meaning to offend paul or anyone, but i am a skint student and would really like your opinions. I know i haven't been around much lately, i am very busy at college (sixth form) and i just got a PPC for my birthday :( but now i am seriously considering going plus and making a comeback. I understand that there is alot of very good software and offers up for grabs, are there any that are not listed or any that you don't use/find useful? Thanks guys :(

Plus is worth it for the Handango discount alone - 10% of all purchases - plus the subscription fee for new subscribers this week is going to the Tsunami relief, so you get to help a very good cause at the same time

I agree that is pretty cool, but i am worried about not using the software, and do people use the plus forums ? i have no way of checking, lol

oh, and do you get one of those fancy BLOGs (what ever that stands for) ?

The Plus forum is used very little, and most of the information on this site is available to all visitors. The main point of the Plus forum is to enable downloads of the free-to-Plus-users apps, and the details of the discount codes etc

Don't know about the Blogs, they're new. But a mod would be able to tell you about that.

Plus members make up a VERY small percentage of the total member count here (and believe me, there are some real "members" around :) ) but if you can afford it then why not? How much is £25 compared to the cost of your phone and all the gubbins and software? Don't get me wrong, I know £25 might be a lot to some people sometimes, but it's £25 a year, not a month.

It all helps to keep this place going, the money goes to a good cause, you get free stuff and discounts, and last but not least ... your name goes orange :-k

I think if you are even remotely considering it, then you should go for it.

It is certainly worth the risk when all the money is going to charity. You'll feel good for doing something important and you are getting something back for it.

I've just got an C500 after having an original SPV. I was debating a plus account and when I saw Paul's gesture I signed up in an instant.

I've definitely saved the subscription fee by using the discount codes for Handango & Smartphone.net so I was happy to resubscribe to help the appeal.

We do get free Plus-only software too.

Yes, you do get the blog and you can change your rank to anything (clean & decent :( ) you like :)

I think anyone that's come here new to Smartphone will agree that the help and knowledge here is pretty darn good.

For that alone, I'm happy to pay for plus. That's befor eyou even begin to look at the extras.

Just think, if you were paying for tech support, £25 or so wouldn't go far (either in terms of paying for phone calls, or in your time sitting on hold on the phone!)
