Guest stiscooby Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 I am trying to set a pic, which I have taken with the SPV C500's camera, and set it as a callers ID. However when I have a call from that particular caller (this caller is saved to the sim card should this make any difference?) the standard "orange strip" is shown as the pic?? If I go to start\orange\caller photo ID and select the caller it shows the pic assigned to that caller, but when receiving a call it does not show the new pic just the standard one?? Am I missing something/doing anything wrong? Any help appreciated Thanks
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 My first guess is that the number isn't stored in international format ; eg. for UK numbers you need +44 replacing the first 0. Otherwise you may be right about it being due to the number being on the SIM
Guest marksurry Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 (edited) I'm having the same trouble with my Orange C500 too. Photos are assigned to the callers but I get only the Orange strip on the screen when they call. All my phone numbers are in the phone, not on the sim and I've tried putting the photos in the "My documents" folder and the "IA Caller ID Photos" folder. It's doing my head in. Some one must have the answer? Edited January 8, 2005 by marksurry
Guest Bingo Accent Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Did you ever get an answer to this one? I'm having exactly the same problem. I've got a picture of my wife set as her Caller ID, but when she calls, I just get the standard Orange bar....
