Guest afhstingray Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 The audio on the c500 is quite a bit better than other phones which i have used. but im a bit disappointed with the bass. i think it may be WMP. IS therre any other audio player that will give better bass?
Guest martin Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 You could try a player that has an equliser built in, something like PocketMusic or Betaplayer 0.95. If find that I can get a better sound and a bit more bass with MP3's if I play about with it :) Personally I use Betaplayer with the extra plug-ins.
Guest ChrisJM Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 Yea, Betaplayers my favourite although Music Box looks good, not free tho :) http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDet...roductId=123617
Guest afhstingray Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 err....looked for betaplayer....which version do i download? i downloaded the .smartphone one and the setup was talkin about pocketPC's.... link anyone?
Guest martin Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 Here's the address: http://betaplayer.corecodec.org Download the version 0.095 as it's the most up-to-date. Look for the exe file containing smartphone and run it from the PC. You can also install the version 0.095 additional plug-ins the same way.
Guest olly_k Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 On the subject of beta player and the equaliser, the EQ on my phone seems to make sod all difference :?: Any idea's? (Oh it is enabled!)

(Oh it is enabled!) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> EQ works for me but that's with MP3's I have created myself. I'm not sure if it works for all audio formats. What format are you playing ?

Do i have to convert all my tracks to ogg? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> MP3 playback is built into the application so these should work OK. WMA/WMV files can be played if you install the ASF plugin. If you have any problems try closing down all background apps and freeing up memory.
