C500 "locked up"

Hello all

I got an SPV C500 a couple of days ago, left it charging overnight for it's first charge then started playing with it :-)

I set the alarm for 6am but it didn't go off. I tested the alarm yesterday and all seemed well. I also did the alarm registry hack to make it loop.

This morning the green light was flashing on the phone implying the battery was fine but the phone was completely dead - the screen was blank and pressing keys, trying to unlock it, etc didn't help.

Anyone have any idea why the phone might have been dead yet the green light was flashing? Switching off and on made no difference - I didn't get the shutdown screen or anything. The only way I coukd reset it was to take out the battery.

Do a http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=ST&f=1...62&st=0>HARD RESET (click on the words). That should solve your problems (remember that you will lose your data\contacts etc)
