Guest simonbratt99 Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 hi, ive only got the standard ring tones and alerts. Id like to get some real funky, groovy, modern, cool, sounds. Anyone got any recommendations? Im after more sound effects, than music, as i can do the music ones. Thanks Simon
Guest squall Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 you can maker your own tones here http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showforum=18
Guest shodanjr_gr Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 All you need do it is convert your favorite songs to WMA files and then copy em over to your phone and use em as ring tones. Thats what i do :)
Guest simonbratt99 Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 thanks but cant see where to make your own in that link (and im guessing there not very good) and thanks i know how to make songs ringtones as i said.
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 Google is your friend here. Just put "wav" or "MIDI" + "whatever you fancy" into the box and you'll soon find plenty of sound effect sites :)
Guest ga!nusha Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 u can try http://gallery.mobile9.com/c/wav-ringtones/1/
Guest Confused Stu Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Alternatively, join CoolSmartPhone.com and start trawling through the download section. I defy anyone over the age of 18 not to have the Rainbow theme tune as their ringtone - at least for 5 minutes, we've all done it!
Guest DSF Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 You can try http://xpc.go.ro/wap/ -> PolyTones and choose from there. I want to add some WMA sound effects and music ringtones when i have some free time (now i am into a busy period) Hope you like it PS: you do not need a registration for downloading
Guest DSF Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 ga!nusha yes, i am :D Sorry for the late response
Guest ga!nusha Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 no promblem...i just read it :D r u havi'n a c500?

Guest chucky.egg Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Whats a good program for converting mp3's to WMA? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've been using AllToWMA for a while and it's pretty good http://www.litexmedia.com/wma_converter/
Guest v0rtex Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 hi, ive only got the standard ring tones and alerts. Id like to get some real funky, groovy, modern, cool, sounds. Im after more sound effects, than music, as i can do the music ones. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you Google for "[effect] sound effect wav download" then you can find most things. http://www.grsites.com/sounds/ has tons. If you're into electronic music (drum and bass, techno, etc), lots of sites have free "loops" for constructing new tracks which are a few seconds long and make good ringtones, especially tweaking the registry to remove the delay between each repetition of the tone.
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Techno toons here : http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=27369&hl= :D
Guest TiNNiT Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Whats a good program for converting mp3's to WMA? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can use Window Media Player (v10). But you have to install the bonus pack to do so: Download here: Windows Media Player Bonus Pack
Guest serialkillazzs Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 nero thats what i use or dbpoweramp
Guest DSF Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 I use Sound Forge and/or GoldWave for cutting up, editing a melody. I save it as MP3 than i use Windows Media Encoder (Search on Microsoft's site for this) for converting MP3s to WMA http://www.goldwave.com/ If you want to work with MP3s you must download lame_enc.dll (and copy to Goldwave directory). Search with Google @ga!nusha I think we are going far off-topic here// :D Let's use PM or other way of cummunication :D I don't own a C500 because I see how easy the dust is getting inside it (a person has a c500 for about a mouth and there is dust under the glass screen)... So, i will wait for other windows (2005) smartphone...
Guest ga!nusha Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 @dsf u r  m8 i also use nero wave editor because it's free...i mean bundled... u can also use windows sound recorder... :D
Guest pgm316 Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 I've added a few ringtones. I just used Media player to convert some audio clips on CD to WMA, was quite painless. What about Test message sounds. It doesn't seem to accept WMA, is it just midi, which is really limiting :D
Guest jporch316 Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 try www.airfagev.com they have ready made cut to size .wav files. they also have lots of freeware personally i use mc hammer - cant touch this - remember you dont need all of the song just 30 seconds or so
Guest DSF Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 I've added some WMAs to http://xpc.go.ro/wap/ Also some new wav sounds You can acces the site directly from your SPV c500 by accesing the address http://xpc.go.ro/wap.wml and download files directly on your phone. :D
Guest Chaser81 Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 And of course, the mighty CoolSmartPhone.com where a VERY large collection of rings and sounds can be found.
