Guest [email protected] Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 I am wondering if anyone knows whether you can configure, peak and off peak times for the active sync mobile schedule. Perhaps a registry setting? or from whence? thanks, Andy
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Welcome to the site :) In Activsync on the phone select Menu\Options\Mobile Schedule from there you can then set Peak, Off Peak and Roaming by highlighting the option you want to change then select Menu\ 1 then you can shoose day of the week and start and stop times.
Guest [email protected] Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Thanks so much, always check the next menu - is the moral. Happy to find you all, and love my new mpx220, just the solution I was looking for. Without Modaco and Remj, I would never have it set up the way I would like though. Now if I can only figure out how to get voice recognition to work with a bluetooth headset. The manual says no way, and that is apparently true. Surprised if you can't..... Elsewise try fonix voicedial here which works with the SPV
Guest [email protected] Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 the voice recognition works, It just cant work with a wireless headset, apparently the voice comming via phone waves can only be transmitted to the bluetooth headset, not wav type sound. Yet apparently it will work with a wired headset. This is too bad, the idea of tapping the bluetooth headset, and having it to a speeddial to kick off voice recognition, then calling is awfully appealing, and apparently works on some phones, but not the mpx220. Beats me, I guess next generation. Whilst I do not have a MPx220 can you not just add a voice to a contact and use that? I could with my SPV/MPx200?SPV C500? Surprised if you can't..... Guest xsquared_uk Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Sorry to jump into someone elses thread but it is a relevant question! What I want to be able to do is say 'check my email via GPRS every hour in the day, but not at night' but I suspect the settings you mentioned are for something different? Can anyone explain what this does in simple terms? Cheers!
Guest [email protected] Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 No problem. This is an activesync setting - I am using an exchange server which handles activesync. You don't have the same choice for scheduling get mail for pop mail. Sorry to jump into someone elses thread but it is a relevant question!
