Guest Tom0815 Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Hi, Is it possible to change the Background image with the Phone or may i just change it by changing the whole Theme? I'm using a Theme from coolsmartphone.com named smart OS. Looks really great but i don't like the background image.
Guest chanceu Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Yes. -Using ActiveSync, explore your phone. -Browse to "\Storage\Application Data\Home". -Copy the themes XML file to your PC. It should be named something like <name>.scheme.xml, where <name> is the theme name. -Rename the file so you keep the original them too. -Edit the file using Notepad. -Change all the <title lang="0x0409">Them Name</title> lines to give the theme a new name. -Change the <background bgimage="image.gif" valign="bottom" /> line to the image you want. -Save the file. -Copy it to your phone. -If you're using a GIF that is not on the phone, copy the GIF to the phone to the same folder. -Select the new theme.
Guest dchester Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 You can also just change the image by copying it into " \Storage\Application Data\Home", and then going into Settings -> Home Screen, and then scrolling through the Background image until it shows the one you added. Then press Done.
