I appoligize if this has been discussed elsewhere...

Has anyone tried using the new Cingular 64k SIM card in an unlocked SMT5600? I was able to use the 64k SIM in an unlocked MPX200. The SIM manager would not work, however I was able to make and receive calls. I was wondering if this had been tried with an SMT5600.... Thanks in advance...

Yes, I'm using the 5600 on Ciungular and a 64k SIM card.

I'm using a 64k SIM in my 5600 right now, SIM manager works fine, and all other features seem OK.

The only problem I have is that about 1 out of every 5 calls only ring for 2 seconds before going to voicemail, no matter how strong or weak the signal is. However, Cingular is trying to fix that one :)
