Help phone wont fully turn on!

Please help me

Only got the phone the other day

I just turned it off and back on and now it wont turn on properly, it goes onto the orange screen then after a few seconds it goes onto the Windows Mobile load screen then a few seconds later it goes blank and goes back onto the Orange screen and so on.

Anyone know of this Problem

It is going back to the shop tommorrow but i would like to know what the problem is, any ideas

I have tried taking the memory card out and taking the battery out for a few seconds but no luck!!!

You need to do a Hard Reset it can happen when the phone's memory get corrupted.

There is no need to send the phone back as a Hard Reset will fix your problem.

PS it helps if you mention what phone you have :)

Sorry mate its a C500, So when you say the phones memory gets corrupt do you mean a virus? how can i avoid this? do i need to virus scan everything before putting it on the phone or somthing

It is not a virus so don't worrry. It just happens the odd time (rarely).

Have you installed any s/ware to it? I had this problem with a utility that hacks the registry but I've not heard of anyone else complain about it so i just don't use it.

A Hard Reset will cure the problem.

There are no known viriii for Windows SmartPhone and the available virus scanners just eat resources and slow down your phone and are best avoided IMHO.

I did a hard reset i have only installed the usual stuff not touched the registry only too me 5 min to reinstall everything and so far so good touch wood it wont happen again otherwise it will defo be goin back!!!!

hi i have am similar problem. when i turn it on in the morning it goes onto the windows screen and no further i have to remove the battery and try a again. turn on again then after few mins message on screen says sim card error 242611. but after 5 mins or so it works fine. the phone is unlocked to vodafone...
