Use PC's internet connection for SPV in cradle?

I read a msg here that the PC's modem connection can be routed through the SPV cradle enabling the SPV to browse at a higher speed. Installing applications seems to work much better when everything is done via the handset, so if anyone can give me some idea as to how to set this up, that would be COOL!
