Tomtom Great Britain map

I purchased a C500 SPV and purchased a TOMTOM Wireless GPS from Ebay. This came with the tomtom software - Tomtom mobile. However there is no UK map installed - just Benelux?????

I have tried a friends Great Britain map from his PDA but that does not work.

Does anyone have the Great Britain map?

I know this may not be of much help, but did you *ask* whether there was a UK map with it before you bought it. ALWAYS CHECK before buying anything from eBay.

Even if you could it would mean you wouldn't have a license....

Ask TT if you can buy the required Maps

AFAIK TT make you buy the whole kit all over again.

I'm sure I read that you can't just buy maps for the Country you want, and as you have to buy a GPS with it you're looking at £185!

Have you checked with the seller whether they said it was UK, and if they'll take it back (unlikely, unless it's not what it said it was in the auction).

I emailed him and was told you could donwload the uk map or use one from tt navigator 3.

I didnt think it was licensed - I thought it was licensed when you got the tomtom hardware (which I now have).

AFAIK you buy a bundle to include the maps you want, but I could be wrong! it wouldn't be the first time!

You can buy maps for Navigator but I've not yet seen Mobile maps for sale. best email TommTom and ask them.

All maps are licensed.

tell you what, so you dont have to spend big bucks on getting the UK map i will give you £20 for the GPS receiver :(

Was TomTom new and unopened?

If not ask for your money back.

You cannot legally buy the software secondhand and the EULA from tomtom prevents you from transfering the licence.
