Guest Chak Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Hi all, I could really use some help here... I have been trying my hand at customizing my homescreen - nothin fancy, just making the MRU smaller, adding the temperature - simple things like that. Just yesterday, I realized that I cannot change access the "Date and Time" settings! I have searched the forums, and found out that some problems can occur when installing RichieM's Alarm plugin. Well, the odd thing is that I do not have it installed, and I am not using any homescreen that has any reference to the plugin! When I try to access the settings, and error message reading "The settings could not be opened" appears. I only have the SmartMonitor plugin installed. I have also tried changing to default homescreens, but that does not work either. Anybody has any ideas short of doing a hard reset? That would be my last resort...

I edited the registry to display the short date in an unorthodox format: ddd-mmm-dd (don't ask why...) Anyways, that kinda screwed up the "Date and Time" changing page.
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Thanks for posting the solution. Let that be a warning to other members :D :D
