C500 and bluetooth headset

I've got an Orange SPV C500 and a Jabra BT200 bluetoth headset and they pair fine. The trouble is voice dialling seems to work in an odd way. When I switch the BT200 headset on the phone sees it there and brings the headset icon up on the screen, which is good. If I press the talk buton on the headset the phone comes to life and the headset bleeps, indicating I must say the name of the contact I wish to call. Not a problem, I say the name, the phone recognises it and dials the number. Why does the call then take place in the phone rather than transfering the call to the headset? I have to press "Menu" then "Transfer to headset". This seems a little odd to me becasue it's not technically handsfree. Does any one else have this trouble and if so, can it be changed to transfer ALL calls started from the headset to the headset?
