Guest gt500916 Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 I have this ear piece that i was using on my Nokia 8265 it worked fine, and the volume was good enough for me driving in the car and hearing the convo just fine... not to long ago i got the MPX200 and i tried to use the same ear piece to use it for hands free while driving, but the volume was very low and i could hardly hear, and i had the volume up all the way... and i went to setting and edited the "headphone" profile to loud and still very quiet.... the question i have is, the volume is bad because there is something wrong with the phone or do i have to buy a special MPX200 earpiece? i dont want to go spend money on something i might not need, i would like to get this confirmed with anyone who has the MPX200 and has a ear piece that works loudly and no problems.... i would like to use my ear piece for MP3s and for talking while driving as well... i was thinking of getting the 2 earpiece set so it would be more like stereo... any suggestions on what brands or any other advice on MP3s and hands free solution?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 You will need a proper headset if you wish to use it for music and calls. The problem you have is to do with the headset itself and not the phone.
Guest Tom0815 Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 I think i know why your volume is so low. F...... Motorola uses not the normal standard 2,5mm stereo Plug. They use this one http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=9369 . Thats pretty s*** because headsets with that special Plug are very expensive. Anybody know where to get an adaptor to 3,5 mm?

Guest Tom0815 Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 Is that really the right one? If so, I will order it tomorrow (by the way I'm from Germany).
Guest michhy Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I am using the nokia 6510 handsfree for listening MP3 on my mp200. The trick is... do NOT insert the jack 100% into the mpx200. Instead, pull it out just a TINY bit. the volume will be damn loud there after! :D hope tis helps. Of coz, ppl are saying it will damage the connector, etc. so, try n do at your own risk. i know i am doing it :D I have this ear piece that i was using on my Nokia 8265 it worked fine, and the volume was good enough for me driving in the car and hearing the convo just fine... not to long ago i got the MPX200 and i tried to use the same ear piece to use it for hands free while driving, but the volume was very low and i could hardly hear, and i had the volume up all the way... and i went to setting and edited the "headphone" profile to loud and still very quiet.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
