Guest patc Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 This might be a little bit of an odd request, but is there a tweak out there for the phone to loop ringtones seamlessly. I foolishly spent ages in Sound Forge making all my ringtones beautifully loopable only to find the phone inserts that lovely 3 second gap before playing it again... Thanks in advance!

Guest patc Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Thanks for the response. I did have a good search around first but couldn't find anything. I'll try again :D
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Isn't it a mod to the profile files? Try a search for custom profiles...
Guest mwille Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Isn't it a mod to the profile files? Try a search for custom profiles... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Here you go (I'd love to credit who ever put these registry tweaks here on Modaco but I can't seem to find the post either.. ) This was originally for the first SPV's and I haven't tried it on my C500 but chance it works on that also is pretty good. Most other reg tweaks do :D Correctly Looping Ringtones This is a tweak I think should be standard on the phone, especially for wav files Normally while playing a wav or midi as the ringtone the phone has a delay of 3 seconds before repeating, now this is really annoying if you've just created that great wav ringtone, spent ages making it loop properly in cooledit or whatever, and then the SPV does the silly delay, well, heres the fix... Open the registry editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0 Select 'Values' And modify 'Script' by removing the w3 (eg. change 'av0pw3r' to 'av0pr') And thats all there is too it
Guest Confused Stu Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 I'm sure I recognise the registry edit as one of Midnight's. Also pretty sure I remember the sentenses and spacing from Midnight's site when I saw it when I had my original SPV. In short, MWille wanted to credit the author - I think what you have there is from the Gospel according to Saint Midnight! :D
Guest patc Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Thank you one and all, that is just perfect. :D
Guest DJBenson Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 (edited) Can someone post the default value for the original registry key. I've changed the key to the one to enable looping but now I can't change the ringtone at all. I can access the sounds configuration but pressing "Done" doesn't do anything :D Edit : That doesn't seem to be the problem. I deleted the key for "script" and went into Profiles which reset the detault - but I still cannot save sound settings. :?: Edit 2 : It appears BetaPlayer was causing issues as I had set it as the default player for all media types so it looks like the phone doesn't like having it's WMA setting changed, Edited January 8, 2005 by DJBenson
Guest Rapier Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 If it is of any help, please find attached a registry tweak which solves this (and other) problems. It's free, as it is said in "About", so I don't think it is a problem to post it here. Regards,RJV_RegTweaks_SP2003.CAB
