Guest Terry21uk Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Just want to check this before I get my phone sim unlocked. If do unlock my brand new C500 phone, will it void the warranty in any way? If i have to send it for repair or replacment at a later date would it be exepted? Terry
Guest Jakob Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 In Denmark you void the warranty when simunlocking the phone (according to customerservice at Orange) . Dunno about UK, but prop. the same. /J
Guest mcwarre Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 It is the same in the UK but I have never had a problem. Do they actually check it? Methinks not..........
Guest Confucious Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 I have never heard of anyone in the UK being refused a warranty claim because the phone is unlocked. The only problem is if they replace your phone you would have to pay tio unlock it again.
