Guest lsainsbury Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Hi, Wonder if somebody can advise me how to do this - I have my outlook contacts stored in various contact folders - i.e Work Contacts for my workmates, the default Contacts folder for my friends and a folder called Euro Friends (my mates around Europe and the world...) etc.. I have categories setup in each of the contacts folder called by the same name, and each contact is applied to the category. Now - when I try to ActiveSync the three categories, I can only see the default Contact folder category - called Contacts. How can I get my C500 Smartphone to recongnise the other contacts / categories ? I'm sure that is as clear as mud! Help! Thanks! Lee
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Afaik you can only sync categories already on the phone, personal, business and other, i think :D Also you can only sync contacts from the base contacts folder in Outlook. This is how it was, its not a feature i regularly use though so it may have changed?

Now here is my question: Outlook 2003 allows to assign a photo to the contact. Will photos be moved to the phone during syncronisation and will they stay assigned to a pariculr contact? Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Nope - apparently that feature isn't going to be implemented until Activesync 4 and WM2005 (see the thread in the news forum!)
