Guest tide Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Hi Since about a few weeks ago my MSN Messenger has developed an issue where it will only stay connected from anything from 5 minutes to 30 mins. Worst of all, it does not even act like it is disconnected until I notice the people I was chatting have gone mysteriously quiet, then when I write a message the 'send' option turns to 'sign in' and it logs itself out. It is really annoying frankly since I cant have a convo longer than 5 minutes knowing it will suddenly disconnect secretly. Anyone else had this problem and/or has a solution? Im using a c500 which otherwise has been running fine.
Guest martin Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Have a look in Settings-Data connections, Menu-Options and make sure that the idle disconnect time is set to 10 minutes. This will allow you 10 minutes if inactivity before it disconnects.

My Disconnet after idle is set to None - surely that would mean it will never disconnect?? but it does.. I have just changed it to 10 minutes to see if that makes any difference..
