Guest techno_muppet Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 hi, im new here. just got my shiny new spv500, but the os is soooo slow. ok, its basically a pc in a small box but are there any patches or updates available yet to speed things up?

What are you having trouble with ? it takes ages to boot up, it just seems sluggish sometimes. im used to the nokia 3200, which was pretty zippy as there wasnt much going on, i suppose i'll get used to it! :D The latest operator ROM is 4.1.1.4 which I imagine you will have. where'd you pick these up? ive only had my fone a week so im guessing thats gonna be on it no? be useful to know where to get updates tho in future. cheers!
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Yeah, could boot up quicker but then so could my PC ! Assuming you're on Orange, you'll find the updates on their website in the My Phone section. Well in advance of the actual release though you'll read about it here in detail :D

But you're last digit is 3 ours is 4 so you are a whole 1 behind us - wether this makes any difference or not i have no idea it depends on what the latest is for your oporator.
