phone crashes and returns to system defaults?

Hi guys.

I've had the phone about 10 months (approx) and it crashed once last year and I lost all settings and contacts that were not on the sim. Very annoying.

Its never happened since, but yesterday and today it did it! So what could be the cause?

The only software that I have installed is Beta Player and Pocket Streets, all other software is the pre-installed stuff.

Low battery can cause this, if you let the battery get too low is can

switch itself off. If it does this while writing data to the registry it will

cause a partial reset which is what you are discribing.

Dodgy xml can cause similar problems but the two aapps you mention should not cause this as they are well known and used.
