Reminders forgetting their settings

This is driving me batty. The phone nearly went through the window today as yet again I had a reminder "lose" its settings and not remind me.

The appoint is a recurring one, set to warn me five minutes before the due time.

I have had this happen to different reminders, both one offs and recurring ones.

In ALL cases the appointments has been set as follows: Reminder at least 5 minutes before and status is "busy". So there is no reason why the reminder should suddenly & randomly be reset to "none" or unchecked in Outlook.

This is at least the fifth time the C500 has decided not to remind me of appointments and made me look bloody unprofessional when I turn up 30 minutes late because I have had no warning.

Now is this down to the phone or Outlook 2003 or ActiveSync.

Anyone else got this annoying problem?

FWIW the forum search is now incredibly unhelpful - the old forum search was typical dodgy web forum crap, the new one has less options/features. So I apologise if this has come up before.

Check what your reminders on Outlook are set for as it sounds like you may have a conflict.

They are identical - all reminders are only ever created in outlook, they always have reminders set to 5+ minutes before (unless all day event) and busy.

I have Outlook 2003 and a C500 and have never had a reminder missed.

If you look at the future appointments are the reminders set? When do they change? Are they set on the PC? After a Sync are they set on the phone? Where does the problem actually occur?

FYI the new search feature is great, go ino advanced search and you can find most things , it's far better than the old search once you get used to it and actually works !

I just got my upgrade to spv c500 from mpx200 yestersday.

have to say Im impressed with the speed of the menus and have had no problems, except this...

The reminders i set dont seem to play the ringtone i set up for them, also they dont vibrate, as i use them as additional alarms, i am not waking up in time, and find the reminder on the screen but only the quietest 'dink' had been the ringtone..

I have checked over the settings, as far as I am aware, they are identical to the mpx, but dont understand why the ringtone i selected isnt working.
