Guest Raveot Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 I´m currently using a Nokia 7610 but I´m looking for a new phone. For the moment I´m into getting a SPV-C500. I hope you could help me with a few questions. 1. If you compare the number of good applications for symbian and for Pocket Windows, is there a big difference there? 2. How about the game situation? I know about the multipress issue which may ruin the ability to play some games but are there good games around which runs ok on C500. 3. I´m considering using C500 as my main MP3-player. There have been some complaints about the sound but I guess it would be acceptable with other headphones? Have anyone tried that? Thanks
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 Welcome to the forum :D Firstly, the C500 rocks. Big time. 1. From what I've read here, the selection is better. You could browse handango.com or smartphone.net to see what is available. 2. There are plenty. Again, see above along with clickgamer.com 3. I use my standard Sony clipons with a 2.5mm adaptor and I'm in heaven 8)
Guest Confucious Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 I love my C500 and think it's the canines gonads BUT if you are buying it to use as an MP3 player check out http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=114434&hl= I do not have this problem and am not sure how widespread it is. You should get a 14 day moneyback option so check to make sure you don't have this problem in the first 14 days and you should be OK. If you don't have the problem than I can't recomend the phone highly enough but if you do then it may not be suitable for you. Good luck and let us know what you decide,
Guest stugee Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 I changed from a nokia 7610.... and coulndn't be happier! Would recommend a C500 to anyone!!
Guest Raveot Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Thanks for the help. The C500 seems like a really good buy.

Guest udayan71 Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 lol - welcome to the club. C500 rules.
Guest Raveot Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 (edited) How fast can you transfer MP3-files to the C500 using the USB-cable? I´m planning to use a 512 mb Mini-SD. Also, because I´m living in Sweden I´ll buy the Qtek 8010 and I´ve heard it comes with Mediaplayer 9 installed. What´s the difference between Mediaplayer 9 and 10? Does it matter which on you have when you should play MP3 or video? Edited January 10, 2005 by Raveot
Guest Confucious Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Slowly -buy a card reader, they are cheap and a lot quicker for large amounts of data. The C500 comes with WMP9 to. 10 is better but we don't have it either. For video it's best to use Betaplayer which is free.
