Bluetooth/Beamie Woes

Recommended Posts

Greetings!

I got some questions here regarding beaming and Bluetooth settings:

1. Does enabling beaming drains battery?

2. In Bluetooth, what's the difference between "on" and "discoverable"? And which of these two drains batteries the most?

Thanks in advance.

1, Yes but if you have the C500 BT is handled better than in previous models.

2, On is as it says is ON so any bonded device can send and recieve data.

Discoverable is as it suggests is ready to bond with new devices rather than just what is has previously bonded with.

Why do you want to disable it? unless you are trying to send or recieve something it is not being used.

Dang! I've read it and with the right gadgets, it might be possible. I might be off-topic, but is there a counter-measure for this to prevent it from happening to most Bluetooth users?
