Guest tjjenkins Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Hi guys, this is my first post. Just wondering if someone could help me please, i've noticed when playing around with the camera on my c500 that theres a zoom option, but i cant select any different options. how do i zoom in! cheers
Guest bosshogg Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 (edited) Welcome to the site! If your photo resolution is set to 640 * 480 (options -> modes) then you can't zoom. If you drop the resolution to 320 * 240 then you can zoom to 2x, if you drop it to 160 * 120 you can zoom to 4x. Hope that helps... Edited January 10, 2005 by bosshogg
Guest squall Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 I must admit i didnt know that myself! thanks
Guest James Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 it weird how it works :D its not any good to be honest... its pure digital zoom that just cuts the image down to the 'zoom' area. hence why you have to set the res lower to get zoom.
Guest udayan71 Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 yeh well. it is a VGA camera. still suberb quality. took photos last night in london - truly spectacular light effects.
Guest tjjenkins Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 cheers guys! also is there by any chance a light you can plug into the spv c500 to act as a flash or something to light up photos as i find when in doors the photos tend to come out darker! thanks again
Guest Killian Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 I'm a newbie to the whole spv thing but i found that if you change the ambience settings on your phone when you have the camera on then you can get alot better picture under different circumstances. Its best to experiment to find out whats best. The night mode for example, makes the picture brighter, kind of the effect you was after i think. About the flash..... i have no idea but I haven't seen anything like it at all. Hope this helps regards Killian
