Guest iJITSU Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 I did a search but couldn't come up with a defintive answer. I would like to disable Cleartype on an SMT 5600. I tried Customcabbage but it didn't work. I read somewhere, maybe on this forum, that you could change it by using a reg editor to change a value somewhere from 1 to 0 or vice versa, but I couldn't find the post again. Can anyone help?

I loaded the .cab file onto my phone and rebooted but nothing happened. Did I miss a step?

I got the message that it did, and then rebooted but nothing changed. I'll try it again but if anyone knows the reg edit trick, please let me know.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Do a search here for Shell Config or ShellCOnfig. It's a little app that lets you toggle CT on or off as well as a couple of other settings. make sure you download the UK version and not he french version.

Guest tudor Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 I'm trying to remove ClearType from iMate SP3, with no success. Shell Config does not work (when I select to remove ClearType, it says "No change requested". If I try to delete the ClearType key from registry, PHM Registry Editor says "Unable to perform this operation". I've tried unloking with No Warez before all this, I've tried also without unlocking after a fresh format - no luck at all. Can anyone help me?
