Application that will let you clear out memory

I know xbar will do it, but xbar isn't free.

Before i hard resetted my phone ther ewas an app that would close everything out and release the memory - can someone point me to the right direction?

Not sure if this is what you had in mind but SP Task Manager should do this.

"SP Task Manager allows you to know which applications is running at a given time. You can see either running apps or processes. You can then choose to quit a given application or all non system applications with a single command. You can also kill processes."

"Finally, a shortcut named 'SP TM Free Mem' is also available in Programs menu. It runs Task Manager, quits all non system apps and finally close Task Manager."

Seems Commercial, but availible for download and use.
