Welcome to the site :D

Have you had the MMS service activated on your account?

Also if you need to enter the MMS settings into your phone the settings

you need can be found in the settings repository in the Articles section.

Try changing the MMS connection data to the following

Mmsc Address: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms

Data connection: WAP network

Gateway to 'WAP 1.0 Gateway'

IP: 212.183.137.012

Port 9201

In Settings-Data connections make sure that the WAP connection is using APN wap.vodafone.co.uk

See if that works..

Hi, new to the forum, but found this thread which could be helpful to me.

I got a new i-mate SP3 (same as the c500) and have MMS problems too (I'm on Vodafone - have had no problems with MMS on my P900 before).

Thing is, I've downloaded and installed the Vodafone operator settings on the i-mate web-site and all was kind of fine, but I'm finding sending and receiving MMS messages a bit hit and miss.

Rarely the MMS will send, but mostly the message stays in the Outbox either trying to resend or giving me the "X" icon with no explanation as why it failed.

I've checked the operator settings and the message sizes etc etc, but the confusing number of menus is getting to me! Here's what I have:

Start->Settings->Data Connections contains:

Internet connection: "Vodafone Live!"

Work connection: "Automatic"

WAP connection: "Vodafone WAP"

Secure WAP connection: "Vodafone MMS"

Start->Settings->Data Connections->Menu->Edit connections contains:

Dial-up Connection: "Voda WAP CSD"

VPN Connections:

Proxy Connections: "Vodafone Proxy"

GPRS Connections: "Vodafone Live!", "Vodafone MMS", "Vodafone WAP"

These connection settings are:

Dial-up: "Voda WAP CSD"

(Whatever...not relevant)

Proxy: "Vodafone Proxy"

Connects from: WAP Network

Connects to: Secure WAP Network

Proxy (name:port): 212.183.137.12:9201

Type: WAP

User name:

Password:

GPRS: "Vodafone Live!"

Connects to: The Internet

Access point: "internet"

User name: "web"

Password: "web"(?)

Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0

Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0

IP Address:

GPRS: "Vodafone MMS"

Connects to: Secure WAP Network

Access point: "wap.vodafone.co.uk"

User name: "wap"

Password: "wap"

Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0

Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0

IP Address:

GPRS: "Vodafone WAP"

Connects to: WAP Network

Access point: "wap.vodafone.co.uk"

User name: "wap"

Password: "wap"

Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0

Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0

IP Address:

Start->Configurations->MMS Settings->Preferences

Retrieve Immediately:

No. of attempts: 3

Connect Via: The Internet

Photo Res: Original

Start->Configurations->MMS Settings->Preferences->MMSC Settings

"Vodafone MMSC"

MMSC URL: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms

WAP Gateway: 212.183.137.12

Port: 9201

Max Sending Size: 100K

That's it I think! So, can anyone help as to why these settings aren't working all the time?

Another odd thing is, a friend sent me a MMS and I couldn't get the attachments at all until I reset my handset - Before, all I got was the message information and no body/attachments - the message kept downloading, but all I saw was the header info. Weird.

Internet Explorer appears to work fine though - I get web pages no problem.

Any help gratefully appreciated.
