Guest TigerNet Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Hi all Having tried many programs I thought I'd ask you all what programs you use to send text messages from the Jam, why you like it and whether you use stylus or thumbs for text entry? At the moment I am using Mobidial... I just can't decide... :?: Cheers Nick
Guest Chaser81 Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 I actually find the best solution to be the Phone's default T9 "Intellipad", but combined with the stylus rather than my finger. Using the stylus on this I find I am able to get up to a blisteringly fast speed on predictive text!
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 On previous PPCs I used Tengo, but am using Intellipad now, either with finger or stylus. I wish there was a tiny little vibrate or something when you hit a key so you knew it registered... P
Guest Chaser81 Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 What about the annoying "blurp" noise you can get it to make when you tap the pad? That lets you know your key presses have registered doesnt it (even if it is annoying as hell!)?
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 That's just TOO annoying... :D P
Guest markdotpeters5 Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 heh, found this post whilst searching on the string 'intellipad' hoping that someone had found a way of stopping said noise. I love the intellipad, it makes the jam much easier to text on, but that noise, HAS TO GO!
Guest tobtan Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 heh, found this post whilst searching on the string 'intellipad' hoping that someone had found a way of stopping said noise. I love the intellipad, it makes the jam much easier to text on, but that noise, HAS TO GO! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Go to Start-Settings-Input Choose 'phonepad' fom the dropdown menu and uncheck ' turn on screen tap sound' Hey presto - No annoying sound!!!! ;)
Guest rockykabir Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 I use the letter recognizer with the stylus. Once you get the hang of your i's l's and t's, its a breeze
Guest markdotpeters5 Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 tobtan, you legend ;) thanks for that, i love the jam even more now
Guest rmg Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 tobtan, you legend ;) thanks for that, i love the jam even more now <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Intellipad for short texts and SPB full screen keyboard for looooong ones ;-)
