Guest stevewooding Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 (edited) Hi Guys, Got a replacement phone from Orange a few days ago for my previous SPV C500 that was stuck in headset mode. Now the replacement phone has a problem too - the red & green start and end call buttons aren't working as of a few hours ago. I can make calls using the contacts menu and the number pad as usual, but pressing the green button doesn't show the call history as it used to. And I can't answer calls with the green button, or end calls with the red one - I have to use the soft-buttons or options to end calls. Otherwise the phone is working fine. Does ANYONE know if this is a software issue or a hardware problem? HELP! Steve Edited January 11, 2005 by stevewooding
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Sounds like a glitch in the OS As it's a new phone I would do a hard reset.
Guest stevewooding Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Further to my first post, I've found that the buttons work fine when the battery cover is removed  but not when it's on! the fault can be reproduced with the cover removed if I put just a little pressure on the battery -the start and end call buttons stop working if I press on the battery, and work fine if I let it rest in place. Weird :?: Anyone seen anything like this before? (at least it's not an OS glitch) Steve :|
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 never heard of ir before, sounds as if the board has not been mounted correctly.
