Also I have bonded the clip with my c500.I have looked through the forum for some answers but can’t seem to find any...Can anyone help please.... Max
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 It's easier to use the GPS unit that came with TomTom when you bought it.
Guest Jasonkruys Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 (edited) I echo what awarner says. Does it work with the TomTom receiver? If it does not, then your best bet is to contact TomTom who will sort you out. If it does, then I'm afraid its tough and you will have to use that unless you can get it working, it is not supposed to work with any other than the TomTom so they have no obligation to ensure it does :D Edited January 13, 2005 by Jasonkruys
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 That doesn't mean we can't help him out! Assuming TomTom works with the bundled GPS, get yourself a copy of Mapopolis and one of the demo maps (won't cost you anything) and see if you can get it to work with that... or alternatively (cos Mapo is not that easy to get to grips with quickly) you could find a PDA or similar and see if it can see the signal from the GPS unit - that will at least tell you it's sending out the data I found that the 2577 folder in the root of the Storage Card kept screwing up my BT pairing (no idea why) so I renamed that and it now works perfectly. Once you've proved the pairing works with Mapo you could do the same and see if it helps
