Guest Skunkchild Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Hello, Happy New Year I urgently need to send a friend a dvd of some avi and mov files that I've been given. I have a dvd burner and a decent pc, can anyone recommend some free or trial software that will let me make a dvd to play in 'the average' home dvd player ?? Any good suggestions appreciated as I'm hurriedly searching ggole as I type. Many thanks - H
Guest mike-oh Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 it's possible that windows media encoder might do it but i don't have it on this machine but it might be worth a try.
Guest nobznss Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Avi is easy, but I don't know about mov files. I have a program at home that does the conversion for you. I think it's called AVI to DVD, but I'm not positive. I'll let you know once I get done with work.

Guest pd.ryder Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I've been using Windows Movie Maker (in XP). It seems to do all that you want.....
