Guest metalgearal Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 I can get my internet connection passing to my phone fine over USB, it lets me use MSN etc. fine. Can I do the same with Bluetooth, in the Radio thread someone says you they did. I'm using the Windows XP SP2 bluetooth drivers, and I have paired succesfully with my phone, what do I do now?
Guest Confused Stu Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Short version - yes. If you can get the phone to Activesync over Bluetooth (check out the other forums to get this done!) then you can use the pass-through exactly the same way as you are when it's USB'ed. At the moment I have a cable broadband modem on one side of the house linked to a Wi-Fi router, then the laptop on in the house linked up to the Wi-Fi. This means that when I'm at home I just switch on the phone's bluetooth and activesync and hey presto - free fast internet surfing anywhere in the house! OK, it'll be neater when a Magneto phone comes out with Wi-Fi built in, but for now - this'll do! :D/
