Guest Tomas Kocanda Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Interesting thing - how are you happy with the quality of pictures produced by c500/Typhoon device? I tried everything - best compression, different custom contrast settings etc. Does not matter, quality is worse then 2 years old phones. My old Nokia produce sharper pictures and I think even old e100 with separate camera module produced better shots. Is it only my phone wrong or it´s typical for the whole series?
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 I don't really think of it as a proper camera so I'm pretty impressed with the quality. Surely it's only for fun ?
Guest Confused Stu Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 I've never had any complaints about the camera on the C500. My philosophy is if you want a proper camera, then carry one round, but for a quick snap the cam-phone is ideal. For some examples of pictures taken with a C500, check out these shots on CoolSmartPhone: Gears' car meets black ice From the one shot you've posted it doesn't look great - is this normal for one taken from your phone? Stupid question I know, but is your lens clean because mine is quite succeptible to having marks on the lens which really does affect it.
Guest Tomas Kocanda Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Thanks a lot friends, comparing with "Disco Stu" picture it looks very simmilar. The other shots on coolsmartphone web site seems to be better quality then from mine, but it may be only because of the subject or so. No idea. But all I want is when I take the shot and send it by MMS, it should be visible, where I am or so. Just a bit sharper image and little bit less compression. But it looks like my camera is "normal". Of coarse it´s clean...
Guest Confused Stu Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 As I said, it was a stupid question about the camera being clean, but in my defence - 1) I spent two days trying to get my Wi-Fi router to work before I remembered that I'd turned off the Wi-Fi within Windows (Fn and F2 together) a month or so before to turn off the annoying light on the keyboard, and 2) I once pushed my motorbike two and a half miles home after "seizing the engine" only to realise once I'd stripped it down that I'd actually just run out of petrol! Through these, and many other examples, I learnt to check the simple things first. My username was not chosen for any kind of ironical value - trust me!

But fingerprint on the screen was my first idea to check. Second was compression settings (is impossible to take good shot with worst compression on) ..... Edited January 13, 2005 by Tomas Kocanda

I have 60% free internal memory and more then 120MB on the SD card.
