Selling a MPx220

Hi all,

I have decided to downsize my gadget collection, and I find my MPx220 is the one I use the least so I want to sell it. Since this is my first cell phone, and I am in a contract with AT&T, I have some questions:

1) If I pull my SIM card can I use it in another phone and preserve my number?

2) Will my contract be in default if I change phones?

3) Is it ok to sell a used phone with no SIM, what do I need to state when I sell it, the carrier, etc?

4) Is it possible to get my AT&T MPx220 unlocked, would this help me sell it?

Thanks

1. yes you can use your sim in other phones that the whole purpose

2. no

3.Yes, you should state the carrier if its "locked". I would test this by borrowing a friends Cingular, tmobile, etc sim and see if works...

4. Yes if its locked. you'd have to check price diff between locked and unlocked phones though, the cost of unlocking may not be worth it...

how much I might be interested :D
