Guest feeta Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Hi. Theer are a few things I was wondering about my smartphone... *Is there any software I can buy or for free that I can install on my smartphone to let me organise my SMS messages into folders (other than the standard inbox, draft, outbox etc) *Is there any software for free or to buy that let's me use my tasks from outlook but with an alarm at a certain time. I have found a few but they don't seem to have alarms on them. *Is there any software for editing of outlook notes? *What would you recommend is the best software for password management. Such as ewallet. *Could you tell me the registry location of the following...it's so i can change thedefault values for ones of my own: -default Caller IS Screens folder -default camera folder -default voice notes folder -default video folder -default images folder Thanks very much in advance. Guest chucky.egg Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 (edited) Hi. Hi there *Is there any software I can buy or for free that I can install on my smartphone to let me organise my SMS messages into folders (other than the standard inbox, draft, outbox etc) There was a freeware SMS tool for Mailing Lists (you'll probably find it in the Software forum area) that might do what you want. I don't have it now, but I think it might have included that feature *Is there any software for free or to buy that let's me use my tasks from outlook but with an alarm at a certain time. I have found a few but they don't seem to have alarms on them. I use Oxios ToDo (which you can get from Handango or http://www.smartphone.net) *Is there any software for editing of outlook notes? Yep, it's called SmartphoneNotes, and you can get it at the same places as above *What would you recommend is the best software for password management. Such as ewallet. I use eWallet, but there is also DeveloperOne's CodeWallet Pro *Could you tell me the registry location of the following...it's so i can change thedefault values for ones of my own: 1 -default Caller IS Screens folder 2 -default camera folder 3 -default voice notes folder 4 -default video folder 5 -default images folder Couldn't tell you the registry locations, but you can change the default locations for 2,4,5 in the Options under the Camera and/or the Multimedia Album By Caller IS Screens I'm guessing you mean Caller ID? I don't know of any way to change that, but there might be something in the registry... dunno Same goes for VoiceNotes. I don't use that, so I've no idea if you can change the location there I'm afraid HTH Edited January 21, 2005 by chucky.egg
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 I use eWallet, but there is also DeveloperOne's CodeWallet Pro <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, forgot, possibly the best app is SplashID http://www.smartphone.net/software_detail....teid=279&id=720 It does imports/exports, and has versions for different OSs, so if you change your device or just want to export your data into a common format you can do it easily. Sadly for me eWallet export format is screwed, so I can't import to SplashID - otherwise I would probably have got it for myself
Guest feeta Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Thanks very much! As far as the software goes, I've tried most of them and I'll probably buy them soon. For the registry, I'll keep searching. Thanks for all your help! Cheers, Feeta :D
