Guest holr Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Just wondering if there are any pictures on the net out there of how things look under the hood of the spv c500? Im curious if it is at all possible to create a custom construction to replace the scroller of the spv c500 with a joystick..... yes i know, why not get a sp3i? Well, im stuck with orange and the c500 :-D But more than anything, im wondering how it looks inside. Anywhere one can pick up a specialist screwdriver to get in there?

I would suggest if you don't recognise the type of screw then don't consider going inside, let alone modifying!
Guest Confused Stu Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 There are a couple of threads about dismantling the C500 to remove dust - I suggest you check these out to satisfy your curiousity of what the innards look like! Dismantling C500 As for modifying? I agree with Olly_K! Know your limitations! If you're not a qualified engineer who works for HTC, leave the bugger alone!!!! :D
Guest Confucious Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 A tool that I'd recomend for modding the C500 is a sledgehammer. It won't work after you've finnished with it buut then it probably won't after you've tried anywau. :D Confused Stu - shouldn't you credit the late, great DNA with your sig?
Guest Confused Stu Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 Confucious, I probably should credit my signature to the author, but I stole it off a Christmas present I was given last Christmas - a desk sign with 30-odd messages that you can flip through until you find the one that's appropriate for the day! For my signature, I couldn't decide between going with original or amusing. I feel comfortable in my kleptomaniac choice. 8-[
