Guest meharris Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005  I am a SMARTPHONE 2002 newbie. I tried to install a .cab file however, the option "Install to SPV" does not show up in the menu when I right click. Can you assist please..... I've already disassociated the .cab file from winzip. MEH
Guest squall Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 The easiest way to install .cab files is to copy them to the phones start menu, then run from there to do this copy the cab and paste it in mobile device/my smartphone / ipms/windows/start menu
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Hi. Welcome to the forum. You must have read the 'Managing Files ...' article right? :D The 'Install to SPV' shell extension was originally in French ('Installer sur SPV') and was a feature of the early version of SmartCAB (version 1.2).
Guest Matt Kirby Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 And my program also does the same thing (and more besides). See the link in my sig for details.

I downloaded the macOSX theme from this site. How do I install the background image onto the homepage?
Guest squall Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 homescreens come in two formats .cab - run that as above .xml (with 3 - 4 other files normally!) put these in \Storage\Application Data\Home
Guest Matt Kirby Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Another plug / hijack- my prog will also handle .xml files, copying them to the right place on the phone via a right-click menu.
