File in Use

I installed DoomSPV on my SPVC500 and now I can't seem to get rid of it.

When I added it to the phone, it looked like it was only folders and files and didn't actually install anything anywhere on the phone and there was no uninstall program.

I've deleted all the files I can see within the DoomSPV folder, but when I try to remove the \Storage\My Documents\DoomSPV folder using SmartExplorer, I get the message "Unable to delete folder \Storage\My Documents\DoomSPV".

If I try to delete it using my PC and USB cable, I get "Cannot delete folder DoomSPV, there has been a sharing violation. The source of destination file may be in use."

Can anyone help me get rid of this or where to check to see if anything is in use. There's nothing in Task Manager, and i've switched the phone off and back on briefly. Oh yeah, i've only had the phone a few days so not totally up on everything with it yet.

Reboot the phone then try to delete the file.

If the file is in resedent memory you will not be able to delete it.

Ideally when installing apps and games you should really use the storage card to save space on the phone.

If this fails (which it should not) you can then rename the file extension to say .jpg

reboot then delete.

Thanks for the reply. It was a folder that was claiming to be in use. I just tried again and mysteriously it has let me delete it. :roll:
