Guest Bam1234 Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 According to www.modaco.com and I found this, so I decide to follow them all, but why it doesn't work for me...... When start the phone, ring nothing. System Startup Sound This is similar to all the other sound tweaks on this page, except for one difference.... THE WAV MUST BE ON THE PHONE, NOT THE SOUNDCARD (nice capitals there so you can't miss it) I presume the reason it must be on the phone is because during bootup the SD card slot simply hasnt been initialised at the time we need to play the startup sound, maybe someone could confirm this. Anyhoo, fire up the registry editor and change this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Sounds/SystemStartup Select 'Values' Select 'Sound' Change Value Data to the path and name of your wav (eg, if you save the wav to \IPSM\Windows then the value is simply \IPSM\Windows\blah.wav, where blah.wav is the name of your wav file of course) Thankz
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 That's correct about the not having it on the card as such. For startup sounds I always use the location Storage\Application Data\Sounds. Rmember though it's "Storage" for 2003 OS and IPSM for 2002. What phone do you have?
Guest Bam1234 Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 I got xphone, and I also have file in storage and set at /storage...
