E200 and K700i Blutooth probs

Hi,

I am trying to transfer some file between my SPV E200 (ROM 2.7.1.1) and a Sony Ericsson K700i.

The K700i can see the SPV (which the reverse isn't always true), but everytime it attempts to send a file to the SPV it tries and states "Connection Failed".

When I try to send files using the SPV (using Smartphone Explorer v 2.0.2) it can find the phone (sometimes) but it can never seem to connect to the phone, it always states attempting to connect.

I have tried bonding the devices to no joy.

Has anyone had this problem before? I've experienced similar problems with the Nokia 6600.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to bond the devices before you can transfer files.

What is actually happening when you do try to bond?

The bond succeeds on both phones, and it seems to be fine.

Just when you attempt to transfer any files the K700i always returns Connection Failed, and on the E200 when I attempt to send the file it always states that it is attempting to connect. Strangely when I attempt to send the file to the K700i the connection on the K700i can't be shut down (even though on the E200 it states that it is attempting to connect) it thinks that it is in use. The 700i then has to be turned on and off.

Any ideas?

Did this myself...

Fix was to enable Beam recieve in IR options on the SPV.. Works a treat..

If that fails keeps SPV on Discoverable

I tend to leave my SPV on discoverable when I'm doing this kind of thing anyway.

I haven't tried setting the Beam settings to receivem but I'll give it a go.

Damn strange, if you need to change the IR settings to make BT worth though...

Worth a try though...

You were spot on.

Setting the IR to receieve aloud the attachments to be picked up by my phone.

Is there anyway to change the default save location to my storage card, rather than the phone itself?

Thanks,

-Graham
