Guest bigfootpete Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 I thought I'd try the fully charge and then hard reset trick, but forgot about the consequences - doh! While it was doing the master reset, I suddenly thought 'oh - all my calendar entries will disappear, then I thought about the phone book entries, and sms...' Ahh well - we learn by our mistooks...
Guest bigfootpete Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 Nah - I use the phone at work, so didn't want all the work calendar items and emails... The problem I have now is trying to re-install the pocket explorer, it fails because of the Orange application lock - I have run the alphaflux unlock cab twice and switched off and on but it still doesn't unlock - it worked before the reset - any ideas?
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 I was under the impression that you could use the Orange OTA Developers site to unlock your MPx now.
Guest squall Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 mpx200 can be unlocked ota see http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=198952
Guest bigfootpete Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 It's ok I looked at page 6 of the original post for unlocking and downloaded the new version and have managed to get it working - cheers. P
Guest bigfootpete Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 Anyone remember where the application is for viewing the memory usage and battery life(exact %)?
Guest mcwarre Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 Nah - I use the phone at work, so didn't want all the work calendar items and emails... Set active sync not to sync email or calender. Can still sync contacts. Or use work sync as a guest (i.e. no transfer of stuff) and home as a user; that way you can back up your contacts on your home PC. Well worth it :D
Guest bigfootpete Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 I wish, my laptop at home is a '98 PII 266, and the windows directory seems to have vanished so I can't boot up, the rescue disk is next to useless and I can't format the hard drive to try and re-load Win '98... I am tempted to get a new one, but just wondering how soon the new 64bit pc's will be on the scene...
