How to make best ringtones? small and loud!

Well I'm using mpx200 for sometime and got a lousy idea of making my own ringtones :D

I did some but I'm look for some experience in the subject.

So pls shoot your ideas and tricks...

What is the best?

And what is the optimum file requirements?

Download a converter that converts your files to PCM waves (others won't work on wm 2002, don't know what it is like with 2003).

I'm using Acez Mp3 Wav converter.

select your Song und convert it to 22000khz, mono and 8 bit. It will be a bit smaller than an mp3 and sound a little worse but you wont notice a difference if you use it as a ringer.
