Is there any application or built in function to get the MPX220 to automatically power on from the off position?

I know the C500 and other windows smartphones can't do this, but was curious as to whether this is or always will be the case!

Thanks!

I have spoken today with people in the know about the MPX220 and when the phone is off it's off, there are no plans to introduce a standby mode.

It's a shame, as I view it (or at least the option of it) to be a real limitation on a business phone.

However, not a deal breaker for me! Looking forward to trying it. Bit concerned about the added heft, given I am moving from a v3 8)

i have seen some reviews say it is only 20mm thick - Is that right? That would be alot less than most clamshells (which are 23-25mm thick), and about on par with a nokia candy bar, like the 8910i. That would be a real plus.

Most likely it will never be the case. As a phone, power off means everything is off. In a PDA, it is hibernating, so things like alarms can wake the PDA and go off when it is off. Alarms on a smartphone do not go off when the phone is off.

Hm. Why? As a business phone, my phone is never off. At night it gets plugged in on my nightable. During the say when I am at my desk, it gets plugged into my computer. As maintenance, I do softreset it every other day or so, but I do use the reminders and wake up alarms.

The vital statistics all measured at the longest/thickest points of my MPX220 are:

L x W x D 9cm x 4.5cm x 22cm

Frankly having moved from a V3 myself the MPX220 is miles better, the V3 is a great looking phone but other than pose value it offers little else to me. However I reckon I will still be able to sell my sim free V3 that I have had for a couple of months for as much as I paid for the MPX220 offline as it holds it's value like a Merc.

Uhmmm I hope you mean 2.2 cm in stead of 22 (!!!!) cm hahaha

but that is (comparing to the US site) very... VERY GOOD!! :D

Isn't it weird that there are soooo many uncertainties about such subjects??
