Guest huntman69 Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 Hi Friends, I think, I'M together with a lot of users that don't use a picture in their contacts list. Can we change the phone that it will not try to show the picture, not in the front screen and not in the main screen, when a call is coming. Who can help to eliminate the ID call picture? 10X....
Guest BeyondtheTech Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 Use your File Manager to move the ArcCallerID.lnk anywhere out of the \Storage\windows\StartUp folder. Guest yoos Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 I don't have the phone in front of me to detail it out, but I'm sure you can figure it out with the following: 1. Open the file manager program THAT CAME WITH THE PHONE (not a 3rd party file manager) 2. Somewhere in the settings of this file manager you need to change it so you CAN view hidden and system files (basically make it so you can see all files) 3. Browse to Storage > Windows > Startup and view the files in the startup folder. 4. You should now see the IA Caller ID shortcut (can't remember the exact file name, but it should be kind of obvious). 5. Select the file and select the option to move it in the file manager. 6. Choose to move it to your SD so you have it their in case you change your mind and want to move it back to the startup folder. 7. Reboot your phone. 8. Now the IA Caller ID program will no longer start when you reboot your phone so it won't run anymore, unless you start it manually through the start menu.

Guest extravagant Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 But if you are using photos for some of your contacts, those will not shown as well, when you receive a call from them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was looking for this! I'm turning on my phone now, time to disable that program! and yes, they will not show, but who needs them?!?!!
Guest dont panic Posted June 26, 2005 Report Posted June 26, 2005 I was looking for this! I'm turning on my phone now, time to disable that program! and yes, they will not show, but who needs them?!?!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> However (and I don't have my phone in front of me to double check, so I'm going on memory here), the ArcCallerID program is also what enables you to use the external LCD as a viewfinder for the camera. May not matter to many, could be a problem for some...just letting those that don't know, know. Take care all--- Jeremy B. Don't Panic
