Excel/Word for Smartphone

Hi guys, apologies if this had already been discussed. I'm new to Smartphones, I'm thinking of buying an Orange SPV C500 and I'd like to have some sort of Word and Excel software on it. I've searched loads of websites and I can't seem to find anything at all. I appreciate that it would have to be very cut down versions from the ones that get bundled with full PDAs, but I'd love something to keep track of my finances and draft documents while I'm away from my PC. Is there anything out there?

The Motorola MPx220 comes with a document viewer that does doc, xls, pdf, jpg, and others. Someone told me that the c500 did as well. You may want to check before you buy any 3rd party software.

You can always go the PPC phone route where you can actually edit the files as well...

I'm not sure, but I doubt it would be ClearVue, they are charging for their software adn they dont mention any associations to MPX220, it must be some other software.

I didn't see when you pull it up who wrote it. Same with the JAVA software. But when the MPx220 vs. c500 threads were going around, I remember when I put the MPx220 came with a document (doc and xls) viewer, whoever it was said the c500 did as well. This was a selling point for me.

It works pretty slick. You just have to remember to make sure the document doesn't get converted when it gets copied to your smartphone.

Download the manual for the MPx220. It discusses it and explains how it works.

Yeah, I got ClearVue and some other stuff, but this is an Orange Try card, so unless DR Forinor is on Orange, he wont have it.

I just use Repligo. I dont really find it a pain to save/print files to the repligo format so its all good for me.

I am on Orange, the worst part about that is that I didn't know about ClearVue when I had a look on the Try card, actually, I didn't the the extent of what the C500 could do, so I thought it was some cheap, crappy (as usual) software/game and deleted it, stupid me eh. Now I don't have it, any chance someone could send it to me please?

But it really makes no difference eh, since I will have to buy it after some time anyway.

How much is Repligo jamesb?

I think ClearVue was the only thing I bothered to install off that card, I thought it would all be the same kinda stuff as the one I got on my MPx200! It was only a 15 day free trial which you can download from the website anyway:

According to the cerience website, Repligo is $24.95 at the moment. You can download a free 14 day trial though to see if you think it is worth it:
