Guest ukmidsguy Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 I've recently installed Papyrus on my phone and would like to be able to go straight to it from my homescreen. At the moment, when an appointment is shown on the homescreen, if I select it I am taken straight to the 'normal' calendar. What I'd like to happen is for it to take me to Papyrus instead. From what I've picked up looking around, I am guessing that I need to edit the XML for my homescreen. However, I'm not sure exactly what I should be editing and what I should be replacing it with!! Anyone care to point me in the right direction? Cheers
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 (edited) You'll need to use the PTKSL Scrolling Appointment plugin (which is $5 at Handango I think) You can get a trial version, and example code from the thread devoted to this plugin. Search for "+PTKSL +scroll +appointment" Once you've got the plugin if you want a working Homescreen that uses it to access Papyrus let me know - I can send you a copy of the one I'm using. Guest ppcmd Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 I am using alot of home screens and so far very few have the scrolling appointment plug in built into their HS's so I hope they can find another way to get it to work. Or is there an easy way to edit the homescreens I have d/l for my use so I can add the lines of xml code?
Guest chucky.egg Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 It's not too hard to replace the built-in calendar plugin with the scrolling one, but it many cases there some "trial and error" required to get it to fit Try copying the XML out of one and into another and see how you get on
