Guest hobo Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 OK, guys here's hoping you can help me with a couple of things: 1) After having my phone for ooooo all of a week, I managed to drop it and there's now a crack at the top of the screen about 1cm long. Claiming on the insurance means I have to pay an excess of £50. Is there anywhere I can either send it to for a cheap repair or somewhere where i can buy a replacement screen? 2) Once bitten, twice shy, I've now got myself a Krussell case to hold the phone! Great case, the only problem I have is that it seems that when the phone is ringing, if I accidentally press any button other than the talk button, it drops the call. Is there any setting anywhere which will stop it from doing this? Cheers
Guest Pondrew Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 Hey there, although it won't be covered by warranty you can send it to HTC Europe to put a new case on. It would likely cost something like £25. There is a sticky thread somewhere around here (think it was originally about the dust problem) with the details so probably best to search? Sorry can't remember the exact website address but think it was www.htceurope.co.uk or something...
Guest Confused Stu Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Pretty close Pondrew. It was www.htceurope.com Just nipped on to check it, and look who's gotten all high tech on us and put a little animation on the top! Obviously HTC's getting too many logging on trying to get their phone's repaired so decided to spruce it up a little! :D
Guest Pondrew Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Glad to hear I wasn't far out. My experience when I sent off my E200 for the joystick fix and refurb was very good indeed. 'phone came back good as new. They definately didn't have any fancy animations back then! :D
